What to Expect From a Mobile Blood Draw

We visit your home to draw blood or collect the sample needed for your lab work. Drawing blood is called phlebotomy. Making it mobile means we come to you.

We collect your sample and deliver it to the receiving laboratory. The lab tests it, and your medical provider explains the results and what comes next.

Why Choose a Mobile Blood Draw Instead of a Lab Visit?

A collection center may suit you when the trip and appointment fit your day. PMW offers another way to complete ordered lab work when travel, limited mobility, work, or caregiving makes getting there difficult. We bring collection to your home and deliver the specimens to the receiving laboratory. Your provider still guides your care.

Same-Day Collection, When Available

Need a mobile blood draw sooner? Same-day collection may be available during normal business hours. Call us to confirm today’s openings, your preparation needs, and whether we can deliver the specimens before the receiving laboratory’s cutoff. This can help you complete an ordered collection sooner; test results follow the laboratory’s timeline.

Two Ways to Arrange Your PMW Visit

Your provider may have ordered lab work, or you may be booking an at-home service directly. Choose the path that fits your visit. In both scenarios, PMW comes to you at home.

Scenario 1: Your Provider Orders Lab Work

Already have lab orders from your provider? PMW can help you complete the specimen collection at home and deliver your sample to the receiving laboratory. Call us to confirm the laboratory’s collection and delivery requirements.

Mobile blood draw journey: your provider orders tests, PMW collects at your home and delivers specimens to the laboratory, and your provider reviews results with you.

Questions You Might Be Wondering About

Do I need an order from my doctor?

Requirements depend on the collection. If you have an order, let us know which lab it is for. If you don’t have one or aren’t sure what you need, call before booking.

My order is for Quest, Labcorp, or another lab. Can you help?

Call so we can check whether we can accommodate that order and the laboratory’s collection and delivery requirements before you schedule.

Do I need to fast?

Follow the instructions from your provider or laboratory. Not every test requires fasting. Do not stop medication or start fasting based only on this website.

Can you come to my neighborhood?

We serve the Greater Tampa Bay area. Call 813-699-9344 to confirm availability at your home.

How will I get my results?

Your laboratory and ordering provider manage result delivery. Ask them how you will receive results and who will explain them.

Can I book for someone I care for?

Call to discuss the visit, the person’s needs, and any required consent or documentation. Please don’t send their medical details in an ordinary online inquiry.

Do Not Have a Current Provider?

If you do not have a current provider, our general resource page explains questions to ask a practice. Check insurance participation if you plan to use coverage, or ask about self-pay costs if you pay out of pocket. If you already have a provider, keep coordinating care with that team.
